Ben coaching athletes during a track session.

1:1 triathlon coaching

More than prescribed training. A coach for the decisions around it.

I coach committed triathletes who want purposeful training, honest guidance and a relationship that responds to the athlete as well as the goal.

One complete service · Month to month

Why coaching

You are not looking for more sessions. You are looking for better decisions.

A schedule can tell you what was prescribed. Coaching helps decide what the work means, whether it still serves the purpose and what should happen when the situation changes.

The aim is consistent, progressive training that you can execute, recover from and understand—so you trust the process without surrendering ownership of it.

No more guesswork

A reliable person helps interpret competing signals and information.

Purposeful action

Key decisions connect to the athlete, goal and reason for the work.

Greater confidence

You learn what to notice, communicate and decide when I am not there.

The service

One coaching relationship. No tiers or reduced versions.

An athlete either wants 1:1 coaching or does not. I do not remove communication, attention or judgement to create lower service levels.

My active roster is deliberately limited so I can protect the standard of monitoring, thought and communication the relationship requires.

The right training, at the right time, for the right reasons.

Included

A complete 1:1 coaching service.

01

Prescribed training

Structured training delivered through TriDot, shaped around your goal, history, current response and available commitment.

02

Regular monitoring

Training and feedback reviewed regularly—normally daily—with attention directed towards key sessions, execution and recovery.

03

Direct communication

Day-to-day questions, guidance and mentoring through WhatsApp or TriDot messaging, with a response within one working day.

04

Weekly coaching call

At least one call each week, normally up to an hour, with additional contact at my discretion when the athlete needs it.

05

Race support

Pre- and post-race calls, seasonal review and pre-season planning built into the ongoing relationship.

06

Community connection

Access to the Precision Coaching community, with camps and events available separately.

Communication

Responsive coaching, with clear boundaries.

Reliable communication does not mean either of us is continuously on call. It means you know how to reach me, what response to expect and how to give me the information needed to help.

Emergency support is outside the service. An urgent medical or mental-health concern needs the appropriate emergency or healthcare route.

Platform and community

The platform supports the relationship.

CoachBen is a 1:1 triathlon coaching practice that uses TriDot as its preferred platform. TriDot supports prescribed training delivery, data and billing. I remain your coach.

The coaching fee includes the athlete's platform access; there is no additional TriDot cost for the coached athlete.

Getting started

Begin by learning, not pretending we already know everything.

The first month introduces structured coaching, establishes communication and starts building useful context. Suitable assessments establish benchmarks for the work ahead.

I recommend beginning with 90 days, but coaching remains month to month without a contractual lock-in.

Mutual fit

A good coaching relationship is a shared responsibility.

Previous participation and current speed are not barriers. A strong fit is an athlete who communicates honestly, asks questions, takes ownership, respects recovery and wants meaningful progression.

Likely a strong fit

Committed, curious and open to feedback. You want to work hard without wasting time, understand the process and build a long-term relationship.

Probably not the right fit

You want a quick fix, constant racing, a generic plan or access without communication boundaries—or repeatedly change coaches without examining the pattern.

Professional scope

Good coaching knows where its remit ends.

I am a qualified triathlon coach, not a doctor or substitute for another regulated professional. I do not provide medical diagnosis, injury rehabilitation, clinical nutrition, mental-health treatment or emergency support.

When an athlete needs expertise outside my scope, I will recognise the limit and support an appropriate referral. Where suitable, I can adjust triathlon coaching around guidance from the relevant professional.

Straightforward terms

One service, explained clearly.

Month to month

You can cancel without a notice period, subject to the final coaching agreement and terms.

Recommended 90 days

Enough time to build context and observe a more useful response—not a contractual lock-in.

Price discussed directly

The current monthly fee and everything it includes are explained clearly during the discovery call.
